Welcome to Hommelsound ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your information when you purchase and use our software, Sound Copilot.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect the information absolutely necessary to provide you with our software and ensure valid licensing:

Account & Purchase Information: When you purchase Sound Copilot, your payment is processed securely by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy. We receive your name, email address, and license key. We do not see or store your full credit card details.

Licensing Data: When you activate or use Sound Copilot inside your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW), the plugin communicates with our database (powered by Supabase) to verify your license key. This may include logging your IP address and a unique machine identifier to prevent software piracy.

On-Device AI & Audio Analysis: Sound Copilot includes a built-in AI engine (Llama) that runs entirely on your computer. We do not send your raw audio to external AI services—there are no third-party AI subscriptions involved. Audio analysis happens locally inside REAPER (pre-FX and post-FX for audio tracks; instrument data for MIDI). Only that analysis summary and project context (track names, routing, arrangement) are processed by the on-device model.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Issue, manage, and verify your software license.
Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.
Send you important administrative emails, such as software updates or security alerts.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with essential third-party service providers:

Lemon Squeezy: To process payments and handle taxes/VAT.
Supabase: To securely store your user account and license validation data.

5. GDPR and Your Rights

As we are based in Norway, your data is protected under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the right to request access to the data we hold about you, request corrections, or ask for the deletion of your account and associated data (which will revoke your software license).
